Distribution: SC United States, in New Mexico, 2700-3200 m above sea level; canyons and mountain slopes.Â
Tufted perennial, subacaulescent. Flowering stems 7-15 cm long, erect. Leaf blades orbiculate, deeply 5-lobed. Inflorescence dense, structured from racemes. Flowers with reddish or dark rose, campanulate hypanthium, dark reddish at apex sepals and spreading, pink, 2-2.5 mm long petals. Fl. VI-VII.
