Distribution: Italy (C Apennines), mountains of Bulgaria and formerly Yugoslavia.
 Dwarf, compact perennial. Leaves linear, white woolly on both surfaces. Head with bracts 3-10 cm across, white woolly. Fl. V-VI.

Distribution: circumpolar regions, up to 3000 m above sea level; rocks.Â
Shrublet carpets forming 5-15 cm in tall. Leaves leathery, evergreen. Inflorescence terminal raceme. Flowers bell-shaped, rose-pink. Fl. V-VI.

Teppichebildender Strauch 5-15 cm hoch. Blätter ledrig, immergrün. Blütenstand Traube. Blumen glockenförmig, rosarot. Blütezeit V-VI.
